Collection may be available for your cake depending on size and design required.

Cake collection is from McEneaney's Shop, Unit 5, Glenmor Park, Muirhevna Mor, Dundalk, Co. Louth, A91 TW31. When you arrive, head to the till inside the shop and provide the name under which the booking was made. A staff member will then retrieve your cake for you.

Please note that the staff at the till do not work for CAKED and are not able to answer any cake-related questions. They do not handle payments for cakes.

Before leaving, be sure to inspect your cake carefully. If you notice any issues, inform the staff member so they can contact me directly, or feel free to reach out to me as soon as possible. This will help avoid an extra trip if I require the cake back for any corrections or inspections.

The collection point is open daily from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Once you’re given your cake’s ready time, feel free to drop by any time during those hours to pick it up. Just please avoid arriving before the specified time, as your cake may not be quite ready yet.

As a one-woman operation (and a busy mom!), I’m not always at the collection point, so if you need to collect your cake earlier than the agreed time, just reach out to me first, and I’ll see if I can accommodate your new request. I’m always doing my best to fit everyone’s needs!

Thank you for your understanding! 😊

Cakes should be placed flat on the floor of the passenger seat with the heat off. For tiered cakes, they should be placed flat in the boot, ideally with something (like a cardboard box) to prevent the cake box from sliding during the drive. Single-tier cakes can also be stored in the boot.

Please drive carefully, avoiding sudden stops or sharp turns. Do not leave your cake in the car before the event.

As a rule of thumb, think of a block of butter sitting out on the table—if it gets soft, so will your cake!

Cakes must be stored in the fridge until at least 1-2 hours before the event, depending on the time of year and the temperature of the room.

Please also ensure the cake is not placed in front of a radiator or in direct sunlight, as both can cause the cake to soften or melt.

When your cake is collected or delivered, I will provide a cake information card to you or your event coordinator which will have all of the important details regarding storage , serving, allergens and any inedible decorations that must be removed before cutting and serving. To enjoy your cake at its freshest, it is I recommend that it is consumed within 24 hours of delivery/collection.

Yes, yes, YES! I absolutely do! I’m all about going over-the-top and making your party unforgettable! If you want me to plan your event, brainstorm ideas, set up your cake table, sweet cart and party favours, just fill out the form on the Events Set-up Page.

Prices will depend on how much extra you want your event to be (and trust me, the sky’s the limit!).

If you have a budget in mind, let me know in the first email so I can tailor everything to suit you.

Here’s a little sneak peek at what I can help with:

  • Planning and designing fabulous cake tables
  • Sweet cart hire (because who doesn’t love a candy-filled dream?)
  • Grazing platters/tables (hello, delicious spread!)
  • Dessert tables to satisfy every sweet tooth

  • Themed party favours, tables, and all the details that make your event pop!
  • Content creation for your event (because those Insta-worthy moments deserve to be captured!)

keep an eye out on my blog for recommended vendors from my experience!

I will collaborate with you on your wedding cake design through email and/or phone to ensure your vision is brought to life. You will have the option to book a wedding cake tasting at an additional cost, which can be collected in Dundalk, Co. Louth, or posted directly to you.

Postage fees apply seperately to cost of cake tasting box.

Tasting boxes are available to all customers, not just for weddings, and include 8 different cake flavours that vary by season. If there’s a specific flavour you'd like to try, please feel free to email me or leave me a note when placing your order, and I will do my best to accommodate your request and include that flavor in your tasting box.

I believe that the setup of your cake is just as important as the design itself. To ensure your cake is displayed beautifully, I offer a selection of cake stands and props available for hire. The rental price ranges from €20 to €50, depending on the stand or props required, with an additional refundable security deposit of €50 to €100.

Cake stands and props must be returned within 3 working days following your wedding, at which point your security deposit will be refunded. In the event of any damage to the items, a fee will be deducted from the security deposit to cover the repair or replacement costs.

I recommend reviewing your order carefully and notifying me as soon as possible if any changes are required. Your cake is of utmost importance to me, and while I will do my best to accommodate any alterations, I cannot guarantee that changes can always be made. If the requested changes affect the cost or if preparation work on your cake has already begun, CAKED reserves the right to adjust the quoted fee accordingly.

Alright, let’s get started! First things first, grab a napkin or some kitchen roll, a chopping board or paper plates, and a serrated knife or chef’s knife. And a quick heads-up—be careful with that knife!

Start by removing any inedible decorations or supports from the cake (we want to keep things tasty, not tooth-breaking!). Then, lean a paper plate or chopping board against the side of the cake while you make your first slice. You can cut as thick or as thin as you like, but trust me—thicker slices are way easier to handle! Once you’ve made your big slice, let it rest flat on the plate or board. Then, make 2-3 vertical cuts down the slice, and slice across the middle. Want smaller pieces? Just chop those in half!

Wrap up any leftover cake tightly to keep it fresh—no one likes dry cake! Store it in the fridge, and if you’re sending slices home with guests, have cake boxes or tin foil ready to go.

You’ve got this... just don’t mess it up!

Top tip 1: Cold cake is easier to cut!

Top Tip 2: Clean your knife after each cut by wiping it with a napkin. It’ll keep your cake slices looking pristine! 🍰

As for me—I'm the owner, baker, designer, cleaner, customer service rep, content creator, and photographer behind CAKED!

That means while I’m juggling all these hats (and loving every minute of it), I might not always be available for an instant reply. Email responses can take up to 3 working days, but I promise I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

I absolutely love what I do, but I’m also a proud mum to my little boy, which means I do switch off from time to time to enjoy family moments and soak in the little joys of life. So if you don’t hear from me right away, don’t worry—I’m probably just soaking up some much-needed family time before jumping back into "girl boss" mode! 🤎

If you need to contact me urgently about a cake order or upcoming collection, please send me another email if I haven’t responded within the day. If you have my number, feel free to text me (but please no phone calls!)—you’ll get a quicker response via text!

Oops! Accidents happen—don’t be too hard on yourself, I’m here to help however I can! Just a little reminder: when lifting your cake, always lift from underneath the cake box and avoid grabbing the sides of the box. If something goes wrong during transport and your cake gets damaged, don’t panic! Just send me a photo as soon as you can, and I’ll see what I can do to help.

I don’t work every single day, but if I’m available, I’ll do my best to fix it. If the damage requires extra decorations, like florals or toppers, there may be a small fee for the repairs. I’ll let you know the cost before you take the cake back, so there are no surprises. We’ll get everything sorted and make sure your cake looks as good as new! 💕

Unfortunately, all cakes currently contain wheat, eggs, and dairy. Whilst not all cakes contain nuts, please note that nuts are used in the kitchen, so there is a risk of cross-contamination.

Please make any allergies known to me at the time of enquiry or at time of purchasing.

Unfortunately, I do not offer fondant cakes or create any fondant decorations, including animals, characters, bows, or similar elements.

Cancellations must be made by email.

As your cake booking and date is reserved for you all booking fees of €100 are non-refundable and non-transferable to an alternative date.

Should you wish to cancel your order the following terms apply: For wedding cake orders cancelled more than 4 weeks in advance of your date only the booking fee is forfeited. For orders cancelled within 2 weeks, the full balance paid is forfeited.

In the event that I am unable to supply your order on the agreed date due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, accident, injury, bereavement etc., CAKED reserve the right to seek substitute companies to fulfill the order. In the event that a substitute cake designer cannot be arranged we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund.
